“the Bitter leaf”-leaf expert  35-years old Skahar has work with the Jothi store for almost 10-years as a betel leaf maker. At the left bottom of the pictures is one of the ingredients for the betel leaf which he said to be dying custom in years to come.




The manual grinding spices machine is one of a dying trend because there is only one shop in Singapore that is still using it. Present  people will buy the spices from  the supermarket due  of the quality and hygiene . The Spices came from different places like Indonesia, India and many more.




Back in the days they use to grind the henna leaf and the colour is brown, but today Henna are mordernized  they now have powder, glitter and a lot more. Now days Henna looks like tattoo and it looks better.


The bookstore is at the corner of  the cuff road. The shop already exist for 65-years. Most of the book are already. The store might not be there for the next 10 years since he said that nobody wants to take over the shop.
